When the Repairman said your Goodman furnace was recalled in 2001 you bought your house in 2005 and you are now having trouble with the unit do you have any recourse to utilize the recall now?

There shouldn't be a time limit on recalls. They are to fix a manufacturer defect.

Note that not all recalls are complete replacements. Some are just paid-for maintenance. For example, they might have found that an internal fuse was too big / too small, and they have to replace it.

Check with the manufacturer.
