United Way Atlanta - offers exceptional help for ex-felons such as resources for jobs, assistant in counseling, education, health and medical, and shelter and housing, and yes job assistance, and etc. Use the related link below, ask to speak with someone pertaining to ex-felons and the work programs they offer.

APPLICATION - answer the question "yes" if convicted of a crime, but do not disclose the what, why, when. Simply state "you will provide details at the interview."

EMPLOYEE TAX CREDIT - Companies receive a tax credit upon hiring felons....

WOTC - Work Opportunity Tax Credit. You can also mention this at the interview.

UNICOR Federal Bonding Program - (See the related link) Employers who have hired eligible ex-offenders may apply (on a standard application form) for the insurance, at no cost to the employers or to the employees.

Someone who has a felony record in Atlanta will likely not be eligible for jobs that involve contact with minor children. However, most other employers will consider someone with a felony record, and would look at the circumstances surrounding the convictions.

Georgia is the WORST STATE in the country about this and the simple answer is NONE, unless you find a boss who got a felony in 1990 and he understands what you are going through.
