That's a very broad answer. It depends on what region you plan on hunting. As far as where it is legal to hunt, For all areas, you cannot fire a firearm inside of the city limits. However, you CAN hunt in the city limits with a bow. When outside of the city limits, you cannot discharge a firearm within 100 yards of a livable dwelling. You can hunt on public hunting areas. You can also hunt on WMA's (Wildlife Management Areas) but only during certain times. You must also carry a specific license and permit to be able to hunt on WMA's. As for the animals being hunted, that really depends on what region you are hunting because there are A LOT of legal game animals across the country.

Wyoming is not an easy state to get started in for elk hunting, but the deer and antelope tags are readily available to first time nonresident hunters.

There is a 30,000+ acre wildlife refuge located in DELMARVA.
