I'm not sure I can answer as to the best study but there is a "dynamics of unaddressed crime". As far as injustice done to a person this person will be displaced and the displacement bringing more sadness due to the widening of the margin for error that will naturally occur with the displacement ALSO any unaddressing of crimes committed (especially reported and not addressed properly) will INVITE crime the person's, now a victim, way.Ffor justice is social, as is injustice. The result of dysfunction with in the justice system, is social. It's about sending messages and the right ones for the wrong messages socially sent can be misinterpreted EASILY...leading to crime being invited the victim's way further victimizing the victim. Study? hmmm, how about why the law exists in the first place...

After an issue enters the justice system this is what needs to take place to not further victimize a victim and why:

1.By reporting a crime and the TRUTH being, proper investigation's done leading to vindication of the victim all sends A SOCIAL MESSAGE: You can not do this to this person (anything but the truth can lead to another outcome).

2. The second message sent with the truth prevailing is"Crime does NOT pay here!"

3. all of this in place allows healing and compensation for the victim.

Again, a study?Injustice of this nature can, sadly, fairly easily be inflicted, It's pretty important to get the truth out there when reporting vrime, anything else is purgery, lying is illegal and it does hurt people. Aside from god ordering there be law in the land this is what it's all about or should be, or used to be...I think with corruption...this basic element may have been lost along the way...or something like that. just a guess but sadly an educated one.
