Badfinger started out as a band called the Iveys and all the members were originally from Wales (Pete Ham, Ron Griffiths, Dai Jenkins, and Mike Gibbins). Then, Tommy Evans of Liverpool, England joined (replacing Jenkins). A few years later, Joey Molland, also from Liverpool, joined (replacing Griffiths). So, they were technically formed in Wales, though most of their career as Badfinger was spent in London, England.
