Averages are about the same... but you can't really average the salary of an attorney. Attorneys can be public employees and earn $60k a year, or they can manage hugely successful firms with dozens of high-profile clients which could bring in well over $1M a year. Though, dentists probably have, on average, better hours and less stress; however, dentists and attorneys are both rated as the highest careers associated with suicide.
A bad attorney or dentist won't make any money so one would be better off working at McDonald's than doing poorly at a "prestigious" career.
Whatever you do, do it well, and be a good business person above all! And make sure you do it in Newport Beach, CA--not Podunkville, KY. :)

A dentist will make more money than a day actor in Nick Studios. However, if a person becomes a famous actor, they will make millions more than a dentist.

The average dentist make 175K a year, 275K if they are specialized. So, a general dentist will make 3.5 K a week while a specialized dentist can make about 5.5K a week.
It depends really. a dentist out of school would easily make $100,000/ year no problem getting a job. an attorney would face an ultra competitive job market. so while a lawyer might have a larger earnings potential, a dentist has much more job security. hope this helps
my friend is an equine dentist and he makes around 3,500 a month... of course he can make more than that...it depends on how many horses you want to check a day.
In the US the terms are used interchangeably. So they would have an equivalent earning potential.
