Fifteenth Amendment (ratified 1870)
Former slaves received the right to vote, as well as any other racial, ethnic, or religious groups that had been denied it. Note that the universal right of WOMEN to vote was not guaranteed until 19th Amendment some 50 years later, in 1920.

Women received the right to vote in 1920. The 19th amendment was made into law especially for the right for women to vote. The 15th amendment is for other races to vote.
