The three authors who wrote about Harshavardhana, a prominent ruler of ancient India, were Bana, Xuanzang, and Hiuen Tsang. Bana, a Sanskrit writer, documented Harshavardhana's reign in his work called "Harshacharita." Xuanzang, a Chinese Buddhist monk and traveler, wrote about his encounters with Harshavardhana in his travelogue.
