Depends upon your age. In watching and expierencing life I found that Girls starting as young as 6 can be mean to you just because they like you and don't know how to say so. This does not mean that every girl that is mean to you likes you but that is one reason. Girls are usally able to talk to you but sometimes if they don't know what others will think they will just tease you to just be able to have something to do with you. most of the time if a Girl doe's not like you she will stay away. Girls are very different in their ways so if they are mean to you at any time you need to be aware of that part of them and make your best decision

Most girls are mean because they like to be mean. They attack boys by punching, kicking, spitting, and all sorts of evil stuff. Their favourite thing to do is probably bashing up boys. So that's why I hate girls! G.B.

I'm a middle school answering this question. Not all middle school girls are mean, only the popular and snobby ones are. They tend to begin gossiping around this age. Why? Because they feel insecure about themselves or they have a big ego and need to stay on top of the popularity status by pushing people down. I am not a popular person, in fact I'm quite the opposite. I know for a fact that they have gossiped about me. Why? Because if you don't conform to or mimic their girly ways and clothing styles, or flirt with boys, then you might be made fun of. Me and my best friend keep away form the girly clique. We do not want to be part of "The Gossiping Idiots" as I like to call them.

To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I am a middle school girl herself, and people say it gets a lot better once you get to high school, there isn't as much drama and there are more people. I hate middle school- its all focused on whose friends with who, who likes who and stupid things like cliques and the newest gossip, but to tell you the truth, what I try to do is focus on schoolwork, focus on my hobbies and things I love, and dream about high school. Teenage girls are mean to each other because each is insecure and are looking for ways to feel better about themselves, and putting others down is one way to do this. Unfortunately this is a loose out situation for the teen girls because when they put others down those that hang around them are people who don't want to upset them, and aren't true friends at all, and when the mean girl figures this out it leaves them feeling worse. So the best way to feel secure about yourself for a teen girl is to be nice, and then your friends will be real friends.
