Why do parents have to be so mean?

Sophash - Most likely, they are not jerks. If you are a teenager, most everyone thinks so. If you think they are jerks, think about what they do to be jerks. If you can make a list of 10 things that your parents do that are truly bad, then they might be jerks. If your parents would have punished you for absoulutley no reason, then they probably are jerks. NOTE: these kinds of things can NOT be on your list

1. My parents grounded me - they probably grounded you because you were doing something against their perfectly normal rules

Putting things like that on your list shows that your parents are not jerks. Parents have to ground you to teach you a lesson.

They are mean because the either care about you and don't want you to do something bad or their just naturally weird.

They may appear to be mean; however, most care enough to correct their child as to help them grow up to be a positive asset to their community. If they did not care, then you would never learn what is right and what is wrong. Most importantly, they want you to be respectable citizens. and to add on to it they use to drink or they have diffuculty with you

Yes That Is Correct. But Some Do It Because They Feel They Need To Take It Out Because Their Job Sucks Or Their Marriage. Please This Has Happen To Me. If They Cuss At You Or Their Words Will Turn Into Threats, You Need To Contact Family Or Teachers. Because Its No Longer Care Its Cruel. They Have No Right Out Of Their Little Heads To Be Treating You Like That. Sometimes Consulting Them Face To Face And Saying, "Mom How You Are Treating Me Is Disrespectful And I Wont Stand Another Minute,If Your In A Bad Mood And Say I Dont Wanna Fight With You Right Now. Well I Do (Not Physically) I Was Right That Last Moment Of Fighting And Your Nervous I May As Well Be Right. If Your A Parent And You Have Done This To Your -10 (Below Ten Year Old) You Need To Apologize And Say I Was Wrong You Were Right. Because Eventually They Will Be Grown Up And be Leaving The House With A College Scholarship Up To 1,000,000 And A Great Boyfriend. Wondering, Why Didnt She Pick Me As Her Role Model In That Speech. Stop Being Selfish And Realize How Much They Have As Well Done For You.
