Why doesn't the Taliban want girls to be educated?

It is common Taliban law that women aren't allowed to do pretty much everything including working, wearing clothes that seem attractive, washing in streams or having their measurements taking by tailors.

The Taliban believe that the role of a woman is strictly to be a housewife who marries early and provides her husband numerous children. They do not see the woman as a truly equal partner who should aspire to have her own business, manage employees, practice medicine or law, or perform any serious work outside of the home. Since education provides women with the strength to achieve these objectives the Taliban ban it.

Additionally, education introduces "Western" ideas of a woman's place in society, because it is secular. They see this as promoting immorality among girls and claim that it will lead to more teen pregnancies and rapes.
