This is a fairly vague question, because no one really knows why.

Why are there murderers? is a totally different question....

There are regular people like perhaps you who do normal things and feel feelings that normal people feel.

Then, there are people like me, who see a guy walking down the street with a stupid smile on their face, and can't help but want to hit the guy across the face with a bludger. For me, it's normal, and I wonder why no one else feels this way. That's all I ever think about. Most of the time, it's the thinking that drives the murderer to do what he does. He basks so long in his own confusion, that murder seems to be the only thing that calms him. Although he knows he's wrong, murder to him is like a drug. The first time he does it, he gets the best experience possible, so he does it again and again in order to feel the way he felt the first time. Of course, he will never feel that way, but doesnt realize that, which is why he continues to murder.
