It is rare (outside of war) for someone to commit a murder all the while thinking that they are committing a lawful act.

Capital punishment also removes the perpetrator from society and thereby prevents him from committing any further crimes. There has been much debate on both sides of the issue.

AnswerBecause they're trying to prove a point that killing is bad but they should also go to jail because they did kill a person and it was not self-defense.
