For our society to work in an orderly fashion we need to follow the rules we have agreed upon. Even if I disagree with a law I should still follow it otherwise the whole law system is useless.

For example if there was a law against murder and someone decided to break it but there was also a law against charging someone with a crime then which law would I follow. So having fixed laws for most things makes it easier for the justice system and ensures that everyone's rights are met as equal as possible
