Why would boys belong to gangs?

Gangs offer the opportunity to make money by selling illegal drugs, they offer protection from other gangs or other dangerous people, and they give their members a warm sense of belonging and security, knowing that they have allies who will back them up. It makes perfect sense to people who have not found better ways to make their way in the world.

First of all they are not the only ones to join...anyway, some need it for a sense of security or family because they have nothing else. Some do it for the reputation and some to do it because they have nothing better to do

Sometimes, life at home is not the greatest for children. In order to find what children or people, feel is love and acceptance, they will join a group of people, that often becomes a gang.
