My sister passed away yesterday, and I was informed that her ex husband had a life ins. policy on her. I would like to find out if this is true? Please help me.
Thank You,
Teresa Fantozzi
As far as I know, unless you have ownership right to the policy, the only way to find out is by asking your sister's ex husband. You may want to consult a lawyer as there can be differences between states.
Someone can find Facebook's data protection policy on the About section of the official Facebook website. There one can find details of their 'Data Use Policy'.
Ask them
if someone died and left an insurance policy and named me beneficiary how can i find out
Yes, it does not matter if you have your own policy or are listed on someone else's policy, you will be surcharged for the DUI probably for the next 5 years.
By referring to the family members on survival
If you believe someone has a life insurance policy but you cannot find the actual policy or who the coverage is with you can get help through The Center for Life Insurance Disputes.
A policy number will be specific to one insurance company. However, it will not be recognizable to just anyone looking at it.
The rules for "cashing in" an endowment policy, differ with every policy. One should contact the company from which the endowment policy was purchased, and work with a company representative.
Locate the name of the insurer that issued the policy; from there you can contact the insurer to start a claim, even the policy number is unknown. Search through files, safe deposit boxes and other areas where your loved one might have kept insurance documents. If you can't find evidence of the policy there, try to find out the name of the life insurance company that issued the policy.
One may find information about traders policy online at Tradex. They have a very easy to use website with an extensive FAQ section that covers all aspects of these policies.
The policy number should be on the insurance card as well as any bills. If these have been lost, then a call to an agent of the company can get the number for you.
It is legal to take a life insurance policy out on someone else. Wal-mart does it to their older employees, and cashes in when the employees die.
