How do you send money to an inmate in Robert a deyton detention facility?

In all cases, you will need to have the inmate's id #. You can set them up an account through western union if that is the company that the facility uses. Once you ha ve their id # and facility id, you can even go online using your credit card to send them money and so forth.

I use www.konmart.com to send money to my family member in prison...takes about 5 days for them to get it but it's cheaper then the alternative and reliable.

Take the number 4,5,or 2 train- #19 or #2 bus to 149th st. and Grand Concourse. Walk half block down 149th street toward Lincoln Hospital you can take the Rikers van from 149th and Anthony J Griffin Pl. The van will travel over the Rikers Island Bridge to the Rikers Island Visit Center

You must contact the institution to determine if it is even allowable to do so. Many (most?) penal institutions will not allow inmates to have access to hard cash.
