After taking the proper class and submitting all paperwork it is supposed to take "up to" 90 days. I've asked a bunch of people who have their CWP's and all of them have told me roughly the same thing. SLED will wait the entire 90 days before sending you the permit. Neither myself or anyone I have spoken to about it have ever heard of anyone getting it any sooner. Although, my instructor told me a story of a guy who submitted his paperwork and didn't get it after the 90 days was up. He had sent his paperwork certified mail, and had proof that SLED had received it so he called them and it turned out they had made a mistake and lost his paperwork. They had him resubmit and the guy received his CWP about 3 or 4 days later. The point is, I'm sure they are capable of doing it quickly. But it seems that they are in no hurry to get them out to applicants. I am currently waiting on mine and it has been about 23 days since SLED received my application. But I have been assured by many of my friends who are CWP holders to not hold my breath. SLED will wait until the last minute. I have known this and am not complaining... just patiently waiting.

The memory of sledding.
To effectively push a sled, start by positioning yourself behind the sled with a wide stance and a strong grip on the handles. Bend your knees and engage your core muscles to generate power as you push the sled forward with forceful and controlled movements. Keep your back straight and focus on using your legs and upper body strength to propel the sled efficiently. Practice proper technique and gradually increase the weight on the sled to build strength and improve your pushing ability.
A sled dog's life typically involves rigorous training, daily exercise, and working in a team to pull a sled. They are well-cared for by their mushers, with proper nutrition, healthcare, and grooming. Sled dogs thrive in colder climates and are happiest when they have a job to do.
