Why doesn't al-Qaeda have an official website?

because Al-Qaeda are situated all over the world, and do not have any sort of headquarters. This means it is very hard to make contact with them as nobody knows where they are, or who is a member. They do not have a website because they need to stay hidden. They are wanted for terrorism and so do not want to give away where they are.

Also to remind that most of Al-Qaeda members are illiterate anti-socials from third world countries, who don't know how to use a computer. Also they are against picture, TV, computer and knowledge. Even they are against humanity. That's why they can not run an official website. However there are some news on the web by some followers of Taliban and Al-Qaeda, but I believe they are doing it without permission of their leaders. So never try to get near them if you are in favor of science.
