This isn't necessarily identity theft, per se, but the possession and/or use of a fake ID is a misdemeanor throughout the US and is a felony in some states - it is best to just wait until you are the legal age to buy liquor or get into clubs, rather than risk a criminal record.

HOWEVER - BE VERY CAREFUL - just the possession of a false ID can be probable cause that you are carrying it to commit fraud. Why else would you have it?
