Horizontal, means from side to side, or across
We see "trans" used to mean across in lots of applications. A transAtlantic flight is routed across the Atlantic ocean.
In Hawaiian Pidgin, you can say "da odda side da watah" to mean "across the ocean."
Trans can mean two things that I'm aware of: Trans is a shortened form of the word Transmission. And it can also mean across. For example, the Pontiac Trans Am would mean across America, the trans American.
In the word "transmit," "trans" is a prefix that means "across" or "beyond." So, transmit means to send something across or beyond a place or from one person to another.
"Jai" does not have a consistent or universal meaning across all languages. In Hindi, it can mean victory or success. In Thai, it can mean heart or mind. In French, it can be a masculine given name.
