Using slang such as "wanna" guarantees a negative answer at 99.99%, so a translation that leaves room for a positive answer would be something like "Tu veux être ma petite amie ?" (do you want to be my girlfriend) or "mon petit ami" (my boyfriend).

I am out of touch with teenagers' life, but I don't think that these types of relationships are formalized or created from a wordy question in France, it seems kind of childish. It's more something that develops organically throughout the relationship until you reach the stage where you are an actual boyfriend or girlfriend.

If it's about a specific date, or to initiate a serious relationship, these might work out better:

  • "Voulez-vous sortir avec moi ?" (formal for "do you want to go out with me?"), "Voulez-vous dîner avec moi ?" (to dine)
  • "Tu veux sortir avec moi ?" (informal) or "Tu veux prendre un pot ?" ("do you want to have a drink?")
  • "On veut une bière?" ("do we want a beer?")
