Some people are uncomfortable with cultural differences...This can lead to reluctance to communicate with people from other cultures - leading to (possibly) loss of trade.
The primary difference between 'because' and 'since' may be simply put as follows: 'because' is strictly causal; that is, it denotes the cause of some effect that is stated or implied in the sentence in which it is used. 'Since' also denotes cause, yet it can also denote a 'time-factor' of some sort, such as in the phrase 'since yesterday.'
The main barrier to effective communication is language. If the two parties involved in the communication don't understand each others language perfectly then some degree of misunderstanding will take place. A second barrier is distance. In the days before the telephone and the internet it could take many days for a letter to reach its destination. In the Middle Ages it could take weeks. Even phone calls need to take into account the time difference between caller and recipient - no-one wants a call in the middle of the night. A third barrier is the reliability of the communication method used. Letters are not always delivered and phone lines or e-mail systems can be down. E-mails can simply be lost. A fourth barrier is security. Some communication is secret. This involves the use of codes and cyphers (encryption) for the written word or scrambling for the spoken word in case the messages are intercepted. A final barrier is cost. The volume of mail in Britain increased enormously when the idea of a standard prepayment of one penny was introduced and had dropped off again since cheaper e-mails were made possible. Similarly voice contact by phone has increased enormously since the costs of telephone calls were reduced by the use of communication sattelites and other technology.
In my opinion, it is that people can communicate better with each other then before, like when Stone Age people bring down large animals to telling stories to pass along from back then. If there was a language barrier, it would cause us to not be connected with our past and have nothing to learn or evolve from. M
Longitudinal furrows on the tongue are deep grooves that run along the length of the tongue. They are a common, benign anatomical variation that can occur naturally in some individuals and are typically harmless. If the furrows cause discomfort or concern, it is advisable to seek evaluation by a healthcare professional.
