Replacing a door from a 91 S10 with one from an 88 S10 may require modifications due to potential differences in design and dimensions between the two models. You may need to address issues related to wiring, fittings, and alignment. It is recommended to consult a professional mechanic or body shop to ensure a proper and safe installation.

This will help do away with the mounting issues. I did this to a 1985 S10 blazer and the grill fit fine with the factory core support, but not all of the mounting locations matched.
3 + 88 = 91
