Latin culture comes from Spain, Portuguese, and France Europe. People from Spain, Portuguese, and France had moved to Mexico, Central America, and South America. Mexico is an example as a European Latin country that speaks Spanish from Spanish Settlers. Over 90% of Mexicans are European Latin which means their family decendented from Spain, Portuguese, and France and moved to Mexico or south America. So many Mexicans have white/ European in them as south Americans do.
Spain had the most impact on the language and religion of Latin America through colonization. The Spanish brought the Spanish language and Roman Catholicism to the region, which have deeply influenced the culture of Latin America.
The term "Latin" in Latin America refers to the influence of the Latin language and culture, which originated from ancient Rome. Latin America was colonized by several European powers, predominantly Spain and Portugal, whose languages were rooted in Latin. Therefore, the term "Latin" in Latin America signifies the shared Latin-based language and cultural heritage of the region.
Spain has the most influence on religion and language of Latin America. Latin America was originally made up of native tribes which spoke native languages. When it was conquered by the Spaniards, the Spanish language and Christian/Catholic religion were introduced.
wen Spain came over to Latin America they brought most of what they had with they also brought priests. since they were Catholic, that is what they preached about to the Latin Americans.
Latin Americans sought independence from their parent countries, mainly Spain and Portugal. The French and American revolutions served as inspirations for Latin American independence movements, as they demonstrated the possibility of overthrowing colonial rule and establishing independent governments.
Spain and Portugal ruled most of Latin America, although Native Americans lived there before then.
