"First thus" is a term used to refer to books.

It means that it is the first edition of a style in which a book is published.

However, it doesn't mean it is a FIRST EDITION

It means, for example say the book was first published in 1901 as a paperback.

this is was the FIRST EDITION

then, in 1985 more books were made, but this time as a hardcover.

These hardcovers are the FIRST THUS.
