i think it has something to do with the energy in your body.

the only form of energy your body can use is called Adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and to supply this energy, there are 3 energy systems:

1.Creatine phosphate system

2.lactic acid system

3.aerobic system

when the ATP stores in your body runs out, it needs to be RESYNTHESISED, to make more of it. The three systems shown above do this, according to the rquirements of the activity you are doing. It means to just re-produce energy (the ATP) ok? :)
