"Real language is behavior" refers to the idea that communication is not just limited to verbal language, but also includes nonverbal cues such as facial expressions, body language, and gestures. These nonverbal behaviors can often convey more meaning and emotional context than words alone.
Nonverbal social cues are gestures, facial expressions, body language, and other nonverbal signals that convey information during social interactions. These cues can help to communicate emotions, intentions, and attitudes without using words. Understanding and interpreting nonverbal cues is important for successful communication and building relationships.
A verbal nudge is a subtle reminder or hint given through spoken language to encourage a specific behavior or action. It is designed to influence someone's decisions without appearing forceful or direct.
Well sign language is a verbal becuase verbal mean to send message and you are sending language to one and another. so..... sign language is a verbal
Examples of nonverbal communication include body language, facial expressions, gestures, eye contact, and tone of voice. In different countries, nonverbal communication can vary greatly, with gestures, facial expressions, and even personal space having different meanings. For instance, a thumbs-up gesture can mean approval in some countries but offensiveness in others. It's important to be aware of these differences when communicating with people from different cultures.
An insult is a disrespectful or offensive remark or action intended to harm someone's feelings or pride. It can be verbal, physical, or nonverbal in nature and is often used to belittle or offend someone.
I think you mean nonverbal. If that's the case, nonverbal means:# Being other than verbal; not involving words: nonverbal communication. # Involving little use of language: a nonverbal intelligence test. # Measuring low on a scale of verbal ability.

Verbal- Talking, or reading written words. Non verbal- any other method of getting your point across that does not involve talking, or words. Such as shaking your head to mean no, or nodding to mean yes. If someone asks me "where is my car" that's verbal. If I point to their car, that's non-verbal.
It means you are invested in the verbal interaction.

I wouldn't necessarily say that verbal is more important....however, it is easier to understand. With verbal communication, it is spoken, and the intentions and wording are clear. (For the most part, unless you're with a dishonest person). For non-verbal communication, it can be very subjective. A person may smile at you from across the room, but it could mean "I'm interested" or it could mean "I'm just being polite". It is up to the other person to basically guess what the intention is. But when combined with verbal communication, non-verbal signals really help to clarify and broadcast your meanings.
More words are spoken through non-verbal communication than by verbal communication. When you next meet a friend in the street, raise your eyebrows, smile, and then extend your arms to them. I guarantee you will get a wide smile and hug in return. No effort of finding the right words - just effortless body language. Simple! :0)
Effectively, non-verbal communication isn't the greatest becasue it leaves so much to interpretation and understanding by/of the receiver. For ex, scowling (as the first poster wrote), might be meant to suggest a displeasure or misunderstandnig, but could be perceived by the other person as anger. Some time later, when discussed, you might hear, "No, that's not what I meant", or, "No, I wasn't angry. I just..... (whatever)". Even in sign language, signs are modofoed by facial expressions and body language in order to better relate/define/clarify meanings of the signs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you mean what is an example of non verbal communication, scowling at someone when you are displeased with them is non verbal communication.
This gesture can indicate "rock on" or "I love you" in American sign language or it can simply be a nonverbal way to express excitement or approval.
