A demonstrative pronoun used to show, to indicate, to point to. The demonstrative pronouns are this, that, these, and those. The pronouns this and these indicate near in distance or time; the pronouns that and those indicate farther in distance or time. Example:

Who does this belong to? That is Megan's.

These are my favorite but I like those too.

Note: This, that, these, and those are also adjectives, used to describe a noun. When used as an adjective, the word is placed before the noun it describes, for example, 'That umbrella is Megan's' or 'I like thoseshoes too.'
