A conjunction is a word which joins to clauses (sentences) together. For example, and, but, althoug, because, yet, etc.

A fronted conjunction is just a conjunction that it at the beginning of a sentence. For example, if a sentece started off with "But he said no." or "Yet she failed to reach her expectations." But and Yet are both now fronted conjunctions as they are used in the beginning of a sentence.
