As a result, they generally work and study harder, which is a reason for their Higher Results. They are also generally a minority and have assimilated to some degree to the culture of the country they are residing in, which means that if they are unable to achieve success in that country, they have nothing to fall back on!
Chinese people who go overseas to study are often ahead of their local counterparts. This is because their education system is ahead of other countries in terms of syllabus. As a result, they learn certain topics much earlier than their foreign counterparts.
Chinese Language consist of 50000 basic Characters, with a non-existent alphabet (Although the closest example would be Pinyin and Zhuyin, which can be difficult and time-consuming to master). You have to literally memorise close to 5000 basic characters to operate in China. Compare this to English, which only has a 26 characters alphabet.
