Because Filipinos have this nature that they want to reach their goals in the fastest and/or easiest ways. If need be they can abandon their own country just to make sure that their families are well fed. Their lack of unison with each other springs from lack of patriotism and faith in their own country. Some Filipinos are even ashamed to be regarded as a "pinoy". Long story short, Filipinos prioritize their families first more than anything.

This is just my observation nothing personal or anything like that. Also this does not apply to every Filipino. This opinion is only a general statement.
