Only one award category, Public Service, is eligible to receive the Pulitzer Prize medal each year, which is approximately one gold medal every 525,600 seconds.
"The young composer was very nonchalant about winning the Pulitzer Prize for music, as if it were something every young composer did."
Sinclair Lewis declined the 1926 Pulitzer Prize for his novel, Arrowsmith, because he believed the Pulitzer should be awarded for works that "celebrate American wholesomeness," while Lewis' books were negative and critical. He resisted the idea of being constrained by a form of social contract that might seek to dilute his work.Lewis wrote to the Pulitzer Prize Board: "Every compulsion is put upon writers to become safe, polite, obedient, and sterile. In protest, I declined election to the National Institute of Arts and Letters some years ago, and now I must decline the Pulitzer Prize."Ironically, the protagonist of the book, Dr. Martin Arrowsmith, also struggled with the conflict between idealism and commercialism. After declining the Pulitzer Prize, Lewis asked his agent to try to "pull strings" for a Nobel Prize in Literature, which he subsequently won in 1930 for "for his vigorous and graphic art of description and his ability to create, with wit and humour, new types of characters."

Dr. Seuss won the Pulitzer Prize in 1984 “for his contribution over nearly half a century to the education and enjoyment of America’s children and their parents.” He was quite surprised by the award. It was a special citation that is not done every year.
No there is not a prize every month on roblox...sadly
Well besides a nice medal, the country gives them money. Like every month lets say the country puts 6,000 dollars into your bank account so you don't have to get a job and work, you can focus on training or retire and stuff.
The Nobel Peace Prize
Frank McCourt's autobiography, Angela's Ashes: A Memoir, won the 1997 Pulitzer Prize in the "Biography or Autobiography" category because the Pulitzer jury thought his work was excellent and the Pulitzer Board agreed. They did not release a public statement documenting the reason the book won the award. An excerpt from the book's dust jacket may give a better explanation:"Angela's Ashes, imbued on every page with Frank McCourt's astounding humor and compassion, is a glorious book that bears all the marks of a classic. As Mary Breasted, author of Why Should You Doubt Me Now, said: "Frank McCourt's book is deeply moving, for his searing story is true. No one has ever written about poverty or childhood like this. That Frank McCourt lives to tell the tale is amazing. That he could create out of such squalor and misery a flawless masterpiece is nothing short of miraculous."
For the same reason every soldier displays his medals. He earned them and is proud of them.
