i am currently working for B and N, it has been a little over a year without a raise i am currently working myself on the job actually to see why they do not give the very small 25 cent raises that arwe promised. the only benefit that i have been asked or told about is the 401k which the details are horrible and you should not do it. if you can avoid working for B and N i would because there is no room for advancment, a long history of huge 200,000 dollar bonuses for ceos and no raises for the employees.
