It shows a potential boss that you have the ability to persevere, and that you can go the extra mile, etc. Apart from that, it is also alot of fun, and there is alot to gain from doing the Award (even if it is just Bronze level). For example, for the Service aspect of the award, going to a Child Care Centre would obviously improve your ability to interact with small children.
