Bend the retaining strap up and use the two handles to pull the battery out. then bend the strap down again so you can shut the bonnet. I just read somewhere that there's aremovableend piece to the battery housing. I'll have a looktomorrowwhen I putthebattery back. stupid design, strap should be hinged.
