They can. Whether they like to depends on personal characteristics and past experiences. Very lean dogs have to work harder to swim because of their lack of body fat (which makes dogs float). All of my German Shepherds love to swim, especially when they get to retrieve toys in the water.

∙ 10y agodogs get scared to swim. because they are scared of the water. soon if you put them in the water to swim, they start to get used to it. just keep putting them in the water, with out drowning them, and let them swim to the edge. okay.
