Are German Shepherds freindly towards cats?

Yes, they may like the cat but they will chase the cat around to play with and I am sure the cat won't like that. It cat may hiss or try to hurt the dog, so I don't recomend putting them together.

Just like all dogs, some German Shepard's are friendly towards cats and some aren't. It depends on many things, from the dog's temperament, to how he is raised. Generally speaking a dog exposed to cats from puppyhood will get along with cats. I've had good luck bringing cats into the family even when the dog wasn't exposed to them when he was a puppy by bringing them home as kittens.
