All dogs are one owner dogs.
The owner is a dogs master, and a dog only has one master.
But dogs do like to live with more than one person.
i have one 4 month old black lab puppy
yes, i have one :)
Yes, German Shepherds are brilliant dogs and they are very loyal. They will protect you too. iI have a German Shepherd and she is very loyal, loves kids and gets along with other dogs too. I would defiantly recommend a German Shepherd as a pet.Yeah, I personally think that German Shepherds are the best dogs to have with a family. They are loyal, and great with children. If you are going to pick a dog, you should defiantly pick the German Shepherd Dog.However like all dogs, German Shepherds can be very vicious if they aren't trained properly so if you plan to have one, especially around children, make sure it receives proper training so it doesn't bite anybody.
The German Shepherd is ONE breed!A Black and Tan won't be any less loyal than a White or Black. Colour makes NO difference.
No, but they are just very clever and if you don't train them they train you.
Actually, there are lots of famous dogs. This one is certainly one of them, http://dogtime.com/german-shepherd-dog.html
Depending on the type of dog individuals value, and the traits they like, German Shepherds make ideal dogs due to their loyalty and willing to please their ONE owner. Therefore most Shepherd owners say GSD's are individual because of these combined traits.
In general German Shepherds are a one owner type of dog. However, if your German Shepherd gets along well with other dogs and appears docile then put your German Shepherd on a leash and let the new pup have the freedom, but be sure to keep the pup away from your dog. Watch the reactions from your German Shepherd. You could try this with a friends dog coming into your home to see how your dog reacts before purchasing another dog. "Never' pay all of your attention to the pup no matter how cute they are. Always go to your German Shepherd first. It's a pecking order. German Shepherd or any other breeds, there are individual personalities amongst dogs and some can be very patient with a pup, while others can be jealous and some even aggressive and harm the pup.
If you get your GSD from a good breeder, they can cost about $1000. Of course you can get one much cheaper at a rescue or shelther.
Unless you want to pay to get the dog professional attack training (which I don't suggest) then there is really no way to make a german shepherd kill a robber. But I do know that they make excellent natural guard dogs. If a german shepherd knows and loves you then they will fight for you with there life if the situation arises, one of the reasons the police use them so much. Although, just by having a german shepherd in your house would be enough to keep robbers away.
NO. The German Shepherd and Bull dog have completly different coats/shape and temperment. You could breed them, but its risky due to the large head of the Bull Dog. The puppies would be a mix between the two, and not look like one or the other.
A German Shepherd is considered an adult when they're 1 year old. They normally don't mature til they're about 3 years old. I'm an expert on German Shepherds. I've loved them since I was 8 years old. I don't own one, but I will next summer. They are high maintenence dogs. They have high standards. You need to be able to know how to take care of these dogs. They need a soft hand when they're handeled. Never hit, slap, kick, or yell. You never, ever under any circumstances leave a German Shepherd in a hot car. If you do, that dog will die in less than 10 seconds. I'm not kidding. Its true. If your not capable of taking care of these dogs, then the German Shepherd is NOT the right dog for you.
