yes but they get too hot in those warmer climates so always make sure that your samoyed gets as much air conditioning that they need and their ok in apartments as long as they get a lot of exercise and they get groomed because they have a lot of hair and they could make a blanket out of all that groomed off hair!
if you can provide that then you will make a great samoyed owner.
Yes, the Samoyed sheds heavily, making them unsuitable as pets for people allergic to dogs.
"The Proposal" starring Betty White, Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, also stars a Samoyed puppy.
Yes,Although Samoyed's may not be everyone's cup of tea when it comes to dogs, they can still make a wonderful pet if they are given adequate exercise, are properly groomed, and are kept out of extremely hot weather.

Yes, there is a big difference. An American Eskimo Dog is similar to a Samoyed and different in many ways. One of the big ones is that an Eskie is much, much smaller in size than a Samoyed is. They do sort of look alike, though. I own a Samoyed myself, and they are completely different dogs.
Both the Japanese Spitz and the Samoyed are members of the Spitz family of dogs but there are many differences between the two breeds. The Samoyed is a medium to large sized working breed dog that has a lot of energy and needs extensive exercise. They do not make good watchdogs, but are very loyal and intelligent. However, they do have an independent spirit and need firm training, and owners must have an understanding of the breed to keep this breed from misbehaving or becoming destructive. The Japanese Spitz is much smaller than the Samoyed, and is a companion breed dog. They make good watchdogs and are also very intelligent. They also need firm training in the beginning and can have a stubborn streak, but they are content to be lap dogs and obedient to their owner. Both breeds are family dogs and need constant human attention to be happy.
