Yes, sheep are carnavores.

They tend to eat vegetation; such as grass and thistles.

However, due to every animals protein requirement they need to eat something high in protein- since they have little or no protiein present in the form of nuts and seeds, they tend to eat meat.

Although, they only eat meat once every 4-6 months- hence it is a very rare occurance to observe this behaviour; especially as they tend to do it at night.

They tend to get their meat by hunting in packs- tripping and stamping their victim.

They hunt anything from mice, birds and rarely a human. There have been a reported 2 humans eaten by sheep- although the number is though to be higher as they have acquired a taste for vagrants.
