Monkeys are not meant to be kept indoors. You cannot control where they will urinate and defecate, and they can also be very destructive. They can catch and spread human diseases, most vets won't look at them, and they require special diets. They are also very social, so having only one would be psychologically harmful. Depending on where you live, owning a monkey as a pet may also be illegal.
