it is a fine bedding but it is kind of messy. if you can go to your local pet stor and look for yesterdays news recycled newspaper litter and it works realy good and you only have to change it like once a month.

Note that some people feel cedar is not a good bedding for small animals due to concerns over the fumes. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of hard evidence one way or the other, but the aromatic compounds that give cedar its smell do seem to at least have the potential to cause liver damage.
