It really depends on the dog and how bad the dogs past is...

If the dog has been badly hurt by a humjan in the past it will be more likely to be dangerous...

Males (boys) are more active tending to play fight and sometimes axcidentally breaking the skin whereas females (girls) are calmaer apart from in season and ready to breed...

I just say get a dog not from a rescue center but from a breeder... remember some dalmations are bron death so give it some hearing tests like when the pup is not facing ou clap your hands to see if it reacts.

No they are perfect for a family with small children

yes it is, but would take some dedication to excercising it as they are very flamboyant, which would be good for runs along the beach with the family
