Koalas can be quite dangerous,

if they are in the wild DO NOT TOUCH THEM,

if you are at a petting zoo and the person who works there says its ok to touch and pet them then YOU CAN TOUCH THEM

Koalas are harmless as long as they are left alone. When threatened, they may react by scratching their attacker, but they are generally defenceless.
