Rotastak Main Housing units, fairground fun, space command, creepy castle, pink palace are fine for gerbils as they are a big size.
Yes
yes because it's their nature
No, don't use crittertrail cages with gerbils. Unlike hamsters, gerbils are chewing machines. They can ingest the plastic which can kill them, and by chewing the plastic they can escape. I would use a 10 gallon tank instead. Gerbils cost around $10 each from a pet shop.
mine love chewing on metal poles on cages so if your cage has those poles they will like it probably
The person who manufactures Rotastak is ARMITAGE PET'S
no you can put a mouse or something in it. or gerbils or anykinds of small rodents.
yep theres not really any difference in the cages just make sure they have lots 2 chew or they will chew the cage
Gerbils naturally dig around and burrow constantly. If the gerbil has a wire enclosure, then surely it will make a mess all around it. Cages that are better suited for gerbils so that they do not do this are aquarium setups or fully enclosed plastic cages, such as Habitrail Ovo.
Food is relatively cheep around £2-£6. Cages are the most expensive ranging from £25 for small cages usually for one sometimes two gerbils to £100 for groups. The one I brought was £70 from pets at home large for 3-4 gerbils.
A persom can connect the two different types of Rotastak tubes by clicking the tubes together at the hinge. Rotastak tubes are common amongst hampster owners.
you can get them a hamster cage or a gerbilarioum, gerbilarioums are usually big and they don't have any bars unlike a hamsters cages.
Not in and of themselves no, but if you fail to clean their cages of excess food, or leave spilled food on the floor, the food will attract mice.
