I have got a Shih Tzu and can tell you that they are an indoor dog. Unlike other big dogs, they cannot run fast, can't go in the sea on the beach or can't really go in deep snow because of their small legs. Shih Tzu's have one of the best temperaments of any kind of dog and are great for elderly people.
