It's possible, though to varying degrees. Both bulls are 100% Icelandic. Even if they are captured from different resident pods, they could still be related patrilinearlly. Resident adult male orcas live with their mothers and female relatives for the entirety of their lives, but temporarily "visit" neighboring resident populations to service receptive females. If any breeding took place between their two pods, or if a single bull happened to mate with both of their mothers or any female relatives, then they could be anything from distant cousins, to full brothers (unlikely, but possible, considering that Keiko was captured at two in 1979-ish, while Tilikum met the same fate in 1983. Both calves were about two years old at time of capture, but I hope that they aren't, because I would feel so terrible for their mother). I'm not sure as to how widespread the Icelandic population of orcas is, so this is all just contemplation. A DNA test would reveal much more detailed information.
Tilikum goes by Tilly.
is tilikum still alive
Tilikum is about 30 years of age. He is the largest orca in captivity.
No :)
TiliKum will LiveAs to whether he is used in shows or not- that is undecided. He can't be released to the wild because orcas have complex social networks and he's already developed a 'domesticated' life that would make living in the wild rather harsh. Added update: as of 2/27/10, Sea World has announced that they will keep the whale and may even use him in future shows. They have changed their procedures and will now keep the trainers out of the water when Orcas are present.
Orcas, like all whales and porpoises, are mammals along with their relatives, the dolphins.
It was not a man but a woman that was killed by Tilikum. her name was Dawn Brancheau this was tilikum latest Victim. From my understanding the orca had another death that was accredited to him I think this was a man but I don't know his name. I'm not sure but I think this death happen back in the nineties
yes it has, a man who was trying to bug it and throw things at it. the whale attacked him and all they found was a wallet floating in the water yes it has, a man who was trying to bug it and throw things at it. the whale attacked him and all they found was a wallet floating in the water
No he died on 1/6/17
There have been multiple answers to this question over the years. One of them was claimed to be Keiko. Killer Whales(Orcas) can weigh up to 8 tons and sometimes be larger than a school bus!
Keiko Yokozawa's birth name is Nanba, Keiko.
Keiko Agena's birth name is Christine Keiko Agena.
