Can a Shih tzu swim

Actually not all dogs can swim. Shih tzus can, but if their coats aren't trimmed, the weight of the wet hair will tire them very, very quickly. Not a breed that will enjoy much swimming.
they are good swimmers, but they don't generally like too. i took my shih tzu swimming and he was really good once he was in but he didn't like it.

Dogs HATE swimming. But if you teach them from a young age to go in the water by making them swim, every day they will get used to it. Dogs are very smart, there was one case when an abusive trainer threw his dog into the water and it started swimming even though it had never been in a pool before.

the shih tzu is not a good swimmer, and should not be taken for a swim, the short snout makes it difficult to breath and keep over the water level. they drown easily
