Can a cat fall in love with a dog?

Don't know about falling in love, but cross-species can form bonds of affection. I had a cat who disliked most humans and even his sister, but was very close to our lab. He would rub against her, lick her head, and whenever he could curl up next to her. She seemed pretty indifferent to it, but put up with it with a stoic air.

Sure, they can. I own a 12 year old cat, and a 2 year old cat, and they seem to be just companions, but, like humans, every cat is different.

It's most likely that your cats are just good friends, but if they are showing romantic interest, they may be in love. Make sure to get them neutered and spayed!

First of all, animals don't get married. They're not humans. They meet, they mate, they separate. Having a dog and cat mate might work, but the offspring would be seriously deformed and would probably die. You wouldn't want to do that, would you?

it appears that they do, even thought they are solitary animals they do seem to stick by there mate, just as larger felines, like lions etc do.
